I have a card from Danbury Mint of Juan card #111 made of 22k gold in 2001. Anyone know anything about it? Not on either of your lists:confused:

From eBay
The Danbury Mint, sister company of Willabee & Ward, has produced this MLB licensed set of 22k gold baseball cards. These are part of the Cooperstown Collection. Now the game's all-time greats are immortalized on a surface of precious gold! All the great players captured on shimmering, mint-condition 22k gold cards. Each card boasts a dramatic, three-dimensional image in high relief on a mirror-smooth surface of gleaming gold. Each genuine 22k gold card is preserved in mint condition in a crystal-clear protective case. The front of each card portrays the player in a classic pose. The reverse side highlights his lifetime statistics. The actual size of each card is 2 1/2 inches wide x 3 1/2 inches high.
I believe there are four groups of cards. Series 1 consisting of 50 cards, #1 to #50. Series 2 consists of 50 cards, #51 to #101 (no #78), Series 3 consists of 50 cards, #102 to #151 and Series 4 consisting of 50 cards, #152 to #201. Series 1 cards are fairly common - Series 2 - 3 - 4 are much more rare. In order to get to Series 2 you would have had to subscribe and receive all the Series 1 cards first. To get to Series 3, you would have had to subscribe and receive all the Series 1 and Series 2 cards etc.
This auction is for one card - Juan Gonzalez. This is a 22k gold card for Juan Gonzalez of the Detroit Tigers. This is card #111 of Series 3. I only have one of each card in this set. If you have stars you want, get them early!
The Series 3 set consists of 50 cards, #102 to #151 and includes the following players: Brady Anderson, Luis Aparicio, Kevin Appier, Richie Ashburn, Lou Boudreau, Lou Brock, Kevin Brown, Jim Bunning, Jose Canseco, David Cone, Rollie Fingers, Chuck Finley, Curt Flood, Jimmie Foxx, Nomar Garciaparra, Tom Glavine, Juan Gonzalez, Luis Gonzalez, Mark Grace, Shawn Green, Burleigh Grimes, Lefty Grove, Al Hrabosky, Chipper Jones, Al Kaline, Tony Lazzeri, Bill Lee, Jose Lima, Bill Madlock, Roger Maris, Pedro Martinez, Tino Martinez, Tug McGraw, Kevin Millwood, Joe Morgan, Charles Nagy, Mel Ott, Rafael Palmeiro, Manny Ramirez, Jim Rice, Ivan Rodriguez, Edd Roush, Manny Sanguillen, Curt Schilling, Ron Swoboda, Greg Vaughn, Larry Walker, Zack Wheat, Bernie Williams, and Jimmy Wynn.

Another 2001 card question. I have the 2001 RR35 Donruss Rookie Reprints Autograph (http://www.juangonzalez.vintagegaming.org/pictures.php?cardid=2374) of Juans but I also have the redemption card to get the card. Even tho there were 90 made you never got the card. You had to send in for the dang thing using the redemption card. I kept one of the redemption cards as I know the struggle for the Black gold set redemption winners.

I'll scan as soon as I get a scanner as my old one wouldn't work with XP.

Yeah, I know some of the unredeeded issues of various cards are missing. I'll add that one tomorrow.

I hope you don't think I'm a pain but I would love to see a complete list of Juan's stuff sometime in my life atleast to 2002. And the effort you have in this site gives it the best chance I have seen.

330034090391 ebay number talks about a set of porecelain cards made be Danbury. They might of been sold by Danbury but they were made by R & N China company. They look like the 1998 HB14 Topps card except they have on the bottom back that the are made by them and licensed from the Topps Co and Limited Edition# (A450) is what is on my card written in a gold marker.

Again many thanks,
Jonas

I saw that auction also. So you have the Danbury card and the porcelain card as well? Can you scan both of them?

Do we know what year the porcelain card was released?

Next week if I get a scanner, bidding like hell on a couple, I'll scan everything I have that isn't on your list and send you a link to the jpeg. The following week I'll be away again in Mertle Beach with no computer. I promised the mrs! When I return I'll start adding pictures to the card list.

I agree. The Redemption cards need to be added. The 2002 Upper Deck Diamond Connection Bat Around Quads cards all were redemptions. The cards could be redeemed online allowing me to keep the redemption card. I have all three of the regular redemption cards. There are also redemption cards for the gold versions too.

They should be added to the list.

Do the redemption cards have a number?
