Ok, but I cannot express how absolutely stupid I think it is to add something like this.

I think you should just list this panel or the magazine itself, not the individual cut out card.

I don't care if the panel or the individual card is listed, but it should only be on the list ONCE.
My point is that it is not a different item. It is the same item just cut a little differently.
Oh, and by the way, I still think ALL of the oversize cut-outs should be taken off.

Add that panel picture to the card listing and leave it at that. There is no reason to list it twice.

Oh, and by the way, I still think ALL of the oversize cut-outs should be taken off.that was my point over a year ago! remember the PINTO WAGON RANT! when every one started adding cups, glasses and those apba cards and the strat cards? hummmmm.well is this not why the odd ball list was created in the first place,an oddball is an oddball is an oddball,i do not care what shape of form it is in IT IS AN ODDBALL! it is a different item! how about a full 42 by 18 uncut sheet of 92 topps that is on ebay now.let's take off the card and add the full sheet.give me a break! i say dump the oddball list, all or nothing i say.i did not start this,as they say in the south ya'll did. so what's it gonna be boy, whats it gonna be?

You can't compare a production baseball card and an uncut sheet to a magazine panel and a card cut out of that panel.

:DYou can't compare a production baseball card and an uncut sheet to a magazine panel and a card cut out of that panel.let me hear your argument on what the difference is? was the mag panel produced of did it just come out of thin air? yah, yah, yah. i do not make sense. BUT NONE OF YOU STATE YOUR CASE! EVER! it is like ya'll are the goverment what i say goes! right or wrong! also take a REAL good look at that 92 full sheet, and you tell me how the hell can you get such a HUGE BORDER ON THE so called OVER SIZE PROOF! from that PRODUCTION SHEET!my 92 over size proof border is over 5/8 inch wide all the way around, the border between the cards on the sheet is 1/2 wide.so like some people say that the over size proof's were from a full sheet AND CUT OUT are WRONG!!!! SO THOSE OVER SIZE PROOF'S CAME OUT OF THIN AIR ALSO! PLEASE FORGIVE MY RANT I HOPE NO ONE IS AFFENDED BY IT. I JUST LIKE TO DEBATE!:D

It’s the momma theory! A couple of years ago you had brought up a point and a good one about the 1994 superstar samplers. They were on the list as individual cards (Bowman, Finest, and Stadium Club) as well as the Topp’s package that they come from. That is the first time I gave the momma theory any thought. Another one would be the Hamburger Helper card. As a collector do you want the card or the unopened box of Hamburger helper sitting on a shelf? It’s really up to the collector and their preferences and maybe storage room. I have plenty of space and have several uncut sheets along with magazines with cards in them through out our home. That is because I enjoy knowing where the card came from that is in my collection as I always have the card ( correct size ) in my collection books. I enjoy seeing and collecting the Pintos of Juan’s as they are unique as they were created to be a collectable not an after thought. ( oddballs ) Having a larger proof, panel, magazine or sheet is much like having a back door press plate. They have to exist to make the final product but nothing more then the momma to create the end product. I enjoy having the pictures added to the card, coin or whatever to show the family tree but everyone knows that everything has a momma!

so I went to the Rangers fanfest yesterday and picked up several magazines with Juan on them. I had 12 before yesterday and doubles my collection in one day. at some point, I will get my scanner going and get pics of all the stuff. I also bought two uncut Mothers Cookies team sheets (1991 & 1992). The were in an acrylic holder with a hook on the back so i bet they were in some office at the ballpark. i dont care if it gets listed or not. I just thought it was a cool find. has anyone seen these b4?

I almost hit the motherload while I was there. If you have been to the ballpark b4, you have seen these 16 ft by 4 ft wide banners all over the ballpark. They were also selling these but did not have the Juan for sale. That would have been a great piece. I did buy the Rusty Greer one and was happy about that.

Added! I also added your magazine panel photo to the card link. http://www.juangone.com/pictures.php?cardid=4446 I feel like all cards can have multiple pictures to depict their origin without adding every step of their existence. As we have done here http://www.juangone.com/pictures.php?cardid=1237

I would consider it as 2 different....one complete and the other cut out. Just as sheets, complete. I have the box(never opened) and the card. Bought them when they 1st came out. Wanted one for display the other for my folder.

I am not saying that having the box isn't cool. I would love to have it too, but it is NOT A different item!!! Uncut sheets are really neat, but they are not different. Period.
I say we drop this because you are never going to convince me that they are different and I am never going to convince you that they are the same so it is pointless.

Its always been my opinion that its only a different item if I couldnt make it myself. If I can cut it or erase it to get the same effect, its not a different item. You can erase the ink off of any early Upper Deck card and call it a blank back. You cannot do that with a Topps card. The material is different so a blank back Topps card is a variation but a 1990 UD is not (again, my opinion). The magazine and box cards are not different although its cool to have both pics listed. Most of those type cards were not issued anyway but uncut and someone then cut them. The proof cards are different as you cannot add paper to get it like that and the sheets were not distributed to us common folks. As I said b4, I ran across uncut Mothers cookies from 91 & 92. I would like the pic added for all to see (when I get around to scanning it), but under the same listing as the cut version as they are the same card. Just my thoughts and nobody has to agree as it doesnt really matter if a few get left off or a few get added that shouldnt.

is this a proof? i have never seen any thing like it,it is clear plastic, same size as the reg card,it looks like a negitive!i do not know of a process where it can be faked.however all the proofs of this type would not have the foil copy on them the ultra logo and his name. this is added later. i think it is a reproduction and maybe a fake. need some info please.it is very cool!!!

Roberto, I think your item is what it says a promotional and should be listed.
Rob, Like you say that is weird that it has the foil shadows on it yet not colored and on plastic. Unless it was used as a counter plate to apply the foil to the card base and over time you get a color mix that would create such a thing. But that is a long shot and only a guess.

Chris,
I have a 2000 Pacific Omega press plate
I have a 2000 Pacific Omega uncut sheet
I have a 2000 Pacific Omega over size proof
I have a 2000 Pacific Card
Because the Plate is a back door plate and not marked 1/1, I feel everyone would like to know of their exsistance by having a scan of each on the card page. I wouldn't care who has what but it's nice to know it's out their somewhere. Having the family tree on one page, one item, is kinda cool when you can add pictures to a list. I can see the need to list the whole tree without that option but Freddie has given us such great tools!
