I recently acquired this if you want to add it to the list it's a 1998 Donruss signature card with the 1999 Sportsfest Stamp on it I got it from an ebay auction.

freddie 08-05-2007 12:02 AM

We're not adding cards that are stamped or embossed at shows.

IgorRulez 08-05-2007 12:10 AM

ok sounds fair just wanted to place it out there just incase. I buy anything I don't have and since I didn't have it and haven't seen it thought someone else might be interested in knowing it was out there.

Gonzaleznut 08-05-2007 01:40 AM

How often do you buy Juan cards, IgorRulz??

Have you added your entire collection to the site?

knr47 08-09-2007 11:40 PM

Do we need to add a 1993 Topps Black Gold C/D Winner Error to the list? I have a copy that pictures the cards from the A/B group instead of the C/D group, and I noticed that the current picture for the C/D Winner shows the same error.

You're right, we have the error card pictured!

I created the new card and moved this picture over. Those who marked the C/D Winner card need to update their quantities appropriately.

akar 08-10-2007 12:32 AM

My CD Winner card is also an error.
You should consider the possibility that both the C Winner and the CD Winner were both uncorrected errors.

There are no pictures of the corrected versions on here.
They may not exist.
And people that think they have them may not have examined them closely.
I never bothered to look closely at the CD Winner until now.

So maybe you can convince someone to post some scans of both the C Winner and the CD Winner.
And if no one out of all these major Juan collectors has one, then we could probably assume there was never a correction issued.

Yes, that has occurred to me. If Rob has the same error then we'll just remove the error cards and mark the normal card as UER.

i only have the error.

freddie 08-10-2007 03:06 PM

I've removed the error cards and updated the normal cards to have an UER designation.

freddie 08-10-2007 04:40 PM

2725 sent me his list, where he has both the normal and error versions of the C and C/D cards. He also correctly notes that error cards are picturing the National League players.

akar 08-10-2007 06:57 PM

I also used to have a C Winner and C Winner Error on my list.
But I have never actually seen the C Winner with the correct players.
Maybe Dan can scan it for you.

Thinking about it, it doesn't seem likely for a company to issue a correction for a redemption card error. They aren't expecting people to keep or collect them. They only expect you to have them a short time until you mail it in.

He has them on his list as having them, I'll ask him about them when I am done going through his list and entering it for him.

Is Dan(2725) allowing you to make his collection public? I would love to see what he has added over the years.

I believe so.

knr47 08-13-2007 10:33 PM

Does anybody have a 2002 Topps Home Team Advantage #340 card? I don't have it anymore, but I once had an '02 HTA factory set and thought every card in it was stamped. It might be one that we should hunt and/or add.

jjt111 08-13-2007 11:29 PM

Beckett has it listed so I added it to the list.

See page 1 of the "Cards that do not exist" thread. I actually have the set. All of the foil cards in the set are missing the stamp and are identical to their regular counterparts. That is why I had deleted it several weeks ago, but now it seems Jonas has added it back in. Should it stay or should it go??

If there is no way to differentiate the cards than it doesn't belong.

I agree.

knr47 08-14-2007 12:19 AM

It should be taken off. Sorry I asked.

jjt111 08-14-2007 01:43 AM

I wonder how those Beckett dealers that have them for sale know what they got? But without anyone having one you can't argue the fact that it exists. I only added it from what I read on Beckett. Didn't realize it was one that was removed. Kyle, you trying to get me in trouble! Just busting on you.

jjt111 08-14-2007 01:46 AM

If those 3 that are on sale at beckett are still there in September, I'll buy them to bust on those dealers! They are more money then the regular card........ those bastards!

jjt111 08-14-2007 02:19 AM

Couldn't wait! Same dealer so this should be interesting.

2002 Topps #340 Boone/J.Gonz/A.Rod LL 100 $0.50
2002 Topps Home Team Advantage #340 Boone/J.Gonz/A.Rod LL 100 $1.00

Item Total: $1.50

I DO have it! I bought the sealed set and cracked it open to sell the singles. I am telling you...it is the same as the regular card.

Rob, I love you man, but you have got to stop. A true variation of a card is not when a photo looks a little funny or a hologram was "accidentally" printed a few millimeters out of place. Next thing you know I will want the variation of the 2000 topps card with a slight coffee stain in the right corner added.

I just think we need to distinguish between a printing error or legit printing variation and a printing defect.

Thoughts??
