every time I go to dig the old stuff out to do some scanning to fill our holes I run across stuff I can't remember what it is called
Please help! |
I have no idea!! That is a great piece!!! Where and when did you get it? How big is it??
I think it should definitely be added to the list. |
I may have found the answer...On my list I have an item called 1993 Upper Deck Sheets (from the 1993 Chicago National). Don't you think this is it??
|
Most of my early stuff I got from Beckett's old buy/sell forum. That is how I first delt with Chris as he was selling the most cards of Juan's even back then. It's 3 1/2 x 5. I thought it could be the Chicago National but it's numbered to only 5000 not the 10,000 that the list states.

If I remember correctly, the sheet from the Chicago National is bigger and in acrylic. And, of course, has a totally different picture.

You should know! You were on top of things doing those years. It's getting old and forgetting what we once knew that is the part of life that sucks!
Thanks for the input, Jonas |
I think that first of all, it would we listed as "Upper Deck Authenticated" since it clearly has that logo on the bottom right corner. I can not find any direct reference to it on the internet.

I still have the web pages I put up all those years ago.
I actually just looked them over and your item is listed under 1993. Here is the Item listing: "Upper Deck-World Series Contenders/American League" Here is the description: "3 1/2" by 5", Says "1993 World Series Contenders" Near Top and "American League" Right Under That, Also Pictured are John Olerud, Jim Abbott, Frank Thomas and Cal Ripken Jr., 5,000 Produced" There was also a National League sheet. Also, there were two different Chicago National sheets in 1993, one was numbered to 2000, one was un-numbered. I can send anyone the html for the years 1987 through 1993. |

Got 2 1997 Score cards that both look the same on the front but have different backs. Is the one that has HR498 the hobby reserve or just the 498. Both have the seal on the front. The picture on the Reserve collection shows the HR498 but has a different front. I don't have that one so I can't tell.
I'm glad they stopped making Score cards! Jonas |
