1994 collectors choice crash the game set that upper deck sends back

nosterbor 08-05-2007 03:24 PM

1994 collectors choice crash the deck send back from upper deck, the redemption card were randomly inserted in backs. iwill try and find one but it will take some time.

nosterbor 08-06-2007 01:31 AM

are you going to add the 1994 collectors choice oddball to the list?

freddie 08-06-2007 05:32 PM

That is this card:

Collector's Choice Home Run All-Stars

Rob is asking us to add the "packaged" version to the list. The only time we have done that is with the super sampler and that is on the list since it only includes Juan Gonzalez cards.

I don't think it should be added to the list. There are other cards on the list that came packaged with some other players and we've not listed those packages.

nosterbor 08-06-2007 06:07 PM

it is a rare oddball, would this be the same as the black gold topps certified? good question! ALL THE BLACK GOLD's I HAVE ARE STILL PACKAGED. sorry left caps on.

akar 08-06-2007 06:12 PM

I think people here list the black gold certified card because they want the actual certified card with Juan's pic and name on it, they don't actually consider the set a single unit.

Just like the the 1990 Donruss factory set card.
It was only available from a set, yet the whole set isn't listed because the only thing of interest here are cards/items actually bearing Juan's image or name.

Just my opinion, though.
As I don't collect at all anymore.

Gonzaleznut 08-06-2007 06:24 PM

I think that redemption cards, checklists, etc should only be included on the list if they have Juan's picture on them. The 2002 Upper Deck Ultimate Collection Redemption cards should all be moved to the oddball section if we continue to include them at all.

Sure but this thread was about packaged sets, not redemptions checklists, etc so I'm confused why you brought that up?

Gonzaleznut 08-06-2007 06:33 PM

Rob is not asking the set to be listed, but the little blue sheet he received back from Upper Deck. He knows the set is not anything unique.

Odd, nowhere in this thread does he say that. Perhaps you spoke to him and got it clear. A blue sheet of paper with type set is not remarkable enough to be listed in my opinion.

A baseball card with his name is something that I would keep on the list though.

Gonzaleznut 08-06-2007 06:37 PM

Fair enough...and yes, I did talk to him to clarify what he meant.

freddie 08-06-2007 06:43 PM

The next evolution of the site is for users to be able to add whatever they want to the list, with only they being able to see it.

nosterbor 08-07-2007 04:19 PM

no redemption card should be on the oddball list that is how the cards were optained in the first place. but lets keep the coffee mugs and watches coming.I GIVE UP!

Where is the redemption card that you speak of? You said earlier it would take you awhile to find it, where is it? There is no problem adding a redemption card if it says Juan Gonzalez on it -- let's see it.

nosterbor 08-07-2007 05:56 PM

i was not refering to the 94,but the 02 ultimate, mike was refering to.

freddie 08-07-2007 06:37 PM

What redemption card is this exactly? Is it on the list or is it not? If it contains juan's name or image then it belongs on the main list.

look at the 1994 collectors choice team vs team #7 with griffey&gonzalez on it. THAT is your redemption card! so now maybe the 94 send back will go on the oddball list?

Are you still asking for that blue paper to be put on the list?

nosterbor 08-08-2007 05:36 PM

give me a logical reason why you would put on a ud promo sheet with a lot of diff, players. a watch with 2 players on it, and not the 94 ud redemption send back set.his picture is on the redemption card! his name is first on the sheet. what more do you want? how many juan collectors would like to have THIS ITEM?

The redemption card is already on the list.

nosterbor 08-08-2007 05:57 PM

Then Take The Buy Back Autos All Off,because The Redemption Cards Are On The List.i Said A Logical Reason!

freddie 08-08-2007 06:17 PM

I'm not going to make any further comments about this.
