Special Event Cards
All of the National, Chicago, and Hawaii cards were released by Donruss at the various events during 2001-2004. In 2001-2003, the cards were actually given away at the Donruss booth to people who would open a certain amount of Donruss product at their booth. The cards were generally stamped with a symbol of the event and serial numbered to 5. Certian cards, like parallels, were only serial numbered to 1. The 2001 Hawaii cards are serial numbered to 25.
They are completely legit as they were distributed by the company.
Unlike the numerous similar Pacific cards on the marketplace, Donruss only distributed cards from the current year at each event.
They are extremely rare and most were accumulated by large dealers who bought a ton of product and received large numbers of the special cards.
