i paid $1000 for a pair of red crusade's at the 1998 national in Chicago.these are the treasures of my collection.don't ask i won't part with them.i spent a lot of money in those 3 days,think i got all the Juan Gonzalez cards that were there.had the 3 day V.I.P. Al Rosen was nice to get me in even earlier and show me around.it was great! i was even able to finnish my 52 topps set that day.

Sam,

I also have the Gonzalez red crusade card. Mine is a graded card and I got lucky at the time. The card was advertised incorrectly and I only had to pay about $40.

i'd have to say the treasures of my collection are the TW autos and the bgs 9.5 gastonai rookies.

I do not know how to add scan to this. Send me your email address to danschiff@adelphia.net and I will email you a pdf of the front and back of the crusade red. It was graded a 10 by certifed pro grading.

yes you did! i was there on saturday from florida.every dealer i went to all i was hearing.big sam got this, big sam got it,i sold all his to a guy named big sam!!! as my son asked me "WHO THE HELL IS BIG SAM"??? i was really P.O. WELL I DID MAKE A KILLING ON A 100 COUNT LOT OF 90 LEAF SAMMY SOSA.SOLD THEM FOR $30 EACH!! PAID 30 CENTS EACH IN 92

In 2003 I paid $451.75 for the Juan Gonzalez Original Diamond Kings Painting.

i remember that auction,what a fantastic item that was,you need to get a good photo of it and it should be on the oddball list.

$400 for the 96 Mirror Gold - in 2001 - It all evens out though as I only paid $40 for the 97 Pinn Cert Plat Gold and got serial # 01/30.
