Juan a Cardinal?

Apparently the St. Louis Cardinals are considering giving Juan an invite to spring training. Let's keep our fingers crossed!

National League with no DH? I don't see how this is going to happen. Everyone really looking forward to 400 more cards being added to the list?

nosterbor 01-21-2008 05:08 PM

Yeah Baby!!!! I AM TIRED OF BUYING DOUBLES!!!

jas003 01-21-2008 06:40 PM

what does it really matter i'll never catch up anyway.

adelith 01-22-2008 11:04 AM

Juan is on his way to complete the numbers! ;)
Yeeeeeessssssssss! :D
I want all those new cards with the new uniform.

Rafferity 01-23-2008 11:11 AM

That's great. Just to be considered is hope. As Adelith has stated....New cards!!! And definitely for him to get to 500 will be the marker!!! And go for the RBI title again.

juanfan19 01-23-2008 03:16 PM

would be awesome.

JuanGone 01-24-2008 03:29 AM

ya man it would be awesome but I am afraid to get my hopes up.

Gonzaleznut 01-24-2008 01:06 PM

Yeah...I am taking the "I will believe it when I see it" approach. It would be great though to see him playing again in the majors.

freddie 01-24-2008 02:55 PM

Seems like it is his turn to try to be Oakland's DH if they aren't going to hire Bonds to do it.

freddie 02-15-2008 10:29 PM

Juan is in camp.

New update at Cardinals site

freddie 02-20-2008 03:49 PM

Juan's first Cardinals' Photos are up! He is sporting a shaved head, a far cry from that dreadful long hair phase he went through in '94-'95

nosterbor 02-20-2008 05:25 PM

things change when you get older! and wiser!:)

Gonzaleznut 02-20-2008 05:26 PM

Yeah...he looks good. Let's hope he can still hit major league pitching.

I don't doubt that he can do it. The only real question is how long before he starts with the back or leg problems.

St. Louis began spring play today but Juan wasn't in the lineup, but Pujols wasn't either so it is a scrub team.

he's definitely a lot better shape then he appeared to be a few years ago. fingers crossed! i pray he makes it to 500, that would be just awesome. HOF would be a lock if that happens. Two good years is all he needs.

Gonzaleznut 02-28-2008 07:19 PM

Juan goes 2 for 3 with a run scored and an RBI in his Cardinal Grapefruit League debut.

helps Cards to clinch wild card in a one game playoff beating the Mets 9 to 8 going 5/5 and hitting a dramatic 3 run homer in the bottom of the 9th with 2 outs. is lead of the field on the shoulders of his team mates. LaRussa proclaims " the greatest cluch hitting power hitter i've ever seen"

2 for 3, single and a double in 5 innings today. Still hitting well!

JuanGone 03-04-2008 11:46 PM

quite well thus far
.417 AVG 12 AB 4 G 4 RBI 1 HR 1 2B .750 SLG 1 SO 9 TB

freddie 03-07-2008 08:10 PM

He was 0-3 today, not quite tearing it up.

nosterbor 03-07-2008 10:28 PM

well maybe we should all hide our heads under a rock until the sky stops falling! are you always Mr doom&gloom? life is to short to be negitive all the time:(.cheer up:D always remember this.no matter how bad it is ,it could always be WORSE!:)

jjt111 03-07-2008 11:02 PM

Batting .167 in March. He doesn't have the time to slump while auditioning for maybe his last chance to play MLB.

Jonas

Rafferity 03-08-2008 07:58 AM

It's where he is in the line-up. If he was before or after Pujols then he some pitches, but at 6-7 he wont see them too much. Wished they'd move him up a slot or 2. But over the years of keeping up the Juan, he'll pull it off. He has in the past.:D

nosterbor 03-10-2008 05:42 PM

thats just GREAT! he is only hitting over .300 now,i guess they will have to release him before his back gives out or he rips his hamstring again! or he has to play in a throwback uniform again!;)

jjt111 03-11-2008 03:04 AM

Correct, he's batting .308 after going 2 for 4 today. Plus he played right field which was good to see as they have had him just DH'ing in the past. Take it to em Juan!
