Proofs/Oversized Cut Outs/Whatever we are calling them

Here are a bunch of different proof/oversized cut out cards. All of these are oversized except for the O-Pee-Chee. I think that most of these are not on the list currently. Give me a few minutes to put this thread together before any responses, please

nice additions

What are the feelings about adding these to the list? I think that some folks like these things, while others aren't crazy about them.

On a side note, it looks like the Fleer Sunoco oversized cards are listed twice.

Thanks,
Ron

I've all of them but never list them since I know they are not so popular around here. About the 1994 Fleer Sunoco it's listed twice on the oddball list by gonzaleznut, I don't know how to eliminate it, pherhaps Mike can do it.

Wouldn't listing them be under the same guide lines of the back door press plates? Every card would/could have one. And actually there could be more then one in most cases depending on the number of sheets available to manufacture.

Remember I personally don't collect oversize cards. I do collect sheets and back door press plates.

I also have quite a few that are listed and not listed...I don't care if they are listed or not but either gotta list em all or none...I've refrained from adding others I have so not to create a backlash of negativity...so when someone list one if I have it I add it...someday the question of adding them or not will be answered...

Do they need their own list?

Yes, and it should be titled "Totally Stupid Juan Gonzalez Items."

Kevin and Jonas raise valid points...there could be an oversized card, or a combination of oversized cards for every card produced out there. I kind of guessed that most of us have these things in our collections, but that they were not on the list.

Freddie might have the answer. I wouldn't mind seeing what else is out there. While I have no intention of making this the focus of my collection, it would probably be useful for cataloging purposes, if nothing else. I'm guessing that I might not be the only one here, but there's a ton of stuff on the oddball list (and on the main list as well), that I personally don't ever intend on getting...beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and some of the items just don't appeal to me. The list of "Totally Stupid Juan Gonzalez items" could vary in size and items depending on who is putting it together...I know that I'll never have a Juan Gonzalez beanie baby in my collection.

But that being said, it is nice to have a complete list of Juan stuff all in one place.

it would be nice to have two new catergories - 1) unrecognized variations - you would have the different color autos and the cards with 3 dots instead of 2 but cards like the 1990 Donruss reverse neg would stay under 1990 because it is a known variation. 2) oversized proofs or cutout cards unless it is the norm. you wouldnt put the jimmy dean or the wheaties here as it was supposed to be cut. just my thoughts

Agree!
